Its hard to take the leap from a full break to a cuffed helm - there's no doubt about the positive affect it can have on even the most casual outfit. Once one decides whether to cuff or not to cuff, size does matter.
There are several ways to cuff jeans: the pin roll, the double roll, the summer cuff, and several others. After worrying about catching an Uber and where to go for dinner, the last thing you want to worry about is which type of useless denim cuff you should choose from. The decision should be as simple and effortless as possible.
There are three rolls you need to know, a one inch, two inch and double roll.
A one and two inch roll are the most commonly seen rolls. A rule of thumb is that the larger the cuff, the more 'stylish' you'll appear. You'll notice that most stylish men either go with a two inch roll or a double roll.
The most bold of the three (and the most popular for summer) is the double roll. More heat = more skin. The double roll is more common during the summer months due to the popular trend of nude ankles during the warmer months.
When a gentleman wears 'happy' socks or socks that he wants the world to see, he'll generally go with a single one inch role. This is so that he won't radiate a 'I just bought the loudest socks at Macy's and I want you to see them' attitude, but when he walks you'll catch a glimpse of what he's so excited about.
So what will it be for you? One inch, two inch, or double?
