Doing any spring cleaning? You don't have to give away any of your clothes, but every guy's wardrobe could use a little revamping as we get ready for my 100% favorite season of the year (or maybe not...its 2am so I'm probably not in decision-making mode right now).
A lot of your peers are likely to stick with the basic white dress shirt. If you've watched enough episodes of Mad Men or worked as a doctor or lawyer, you've seen this silhouette all too often. Us men have so many decisions to make throughout the day, why waste that energy thinking of what seasonal dress shirt you should wear?
Your college professor will be wearing a white shirt. Your boss, if he/she is under the age of 35 will be wearing a white shirt, so why should you too? Don't be that guy.
No one wants to be that guy.
The designers have done their job of creating fun shirts for this spring, my job is to spend at least an hour searching the internet hoping that ONE of these is the right shirt for you. As we all know, style is subjective...so if none of these picks are your cup of tea, search for conservative patterns such as stripes and checks (safe for work) and even a few nuance patterns like floral and polka dot (may not be safe for work).
Blue is and always will be a prevalent color in menswear, so you'll see a lot of it in this list. Why? Because it flies under the radar and it looks good on every skin tone. Pink is also a big deal and trending right now, but I tried to find a few pink shirts that are not only trendy but are subtle enough to last a life time. There is a way to invest in trends but remain true to your style.
