Suiting up in the colder months calls for more hues and patterns than in the warmer months. A ton of accessories and a cup of cold coffee isn't necessary to make a suit look good in November. Especially if you have darker skin, its fun to play with rich jewel tones (such as emerald green, ruby red and more) and rich, dapper textures when suiting up. There's nothing like getting the big question "is that velvet?!"
Recently I've been partnering with Macy's a lot on Instagram, including two brands that they carry in INC Men and Alfani. I was surprised with how both of these suits fit off-the-rack, or out-of-the-box making them photo shoot ready upon unboxing.
The first look includes dark tones that creates a stream line look. Velvet is an extremely formal fabric, so black jeans and a knit tie complimented the blazer well while calming things down. No gala's coming up soon for this guy.
The second look is a work wear inspired look that's equipped to take you through your mid-day coffee break, to post-work activities in the city. These shots were taken on a warmer October day, so I'd advise avoiding the no-sock look for a while.
This is a post with INC Men and Alfani in partnership with Macy's. Both suits were gifted to me by the brand.
