"I have not failed, I just found 10,000 ways that don't work." - Thomas Edison
How far are you willing to go? This is a subject that I've been focusing on in a lot of posts lately because its not only prevalent in my life, but in the lives of our generation of instant gratification.
Everyone wants the free clothes, the clients, and to be a millionaire in the quickest and easiest way possible. Its amazing to me what I and those around me have been able to accomplish by simply not giving up, and how much more you receive by not taking the shortcut.
Yes, its hard to keep things going when your results (aka "the numbers") are stagnant or even worse - going down. Its important to remember is that patience isn't the key, but persistence is. Patience is the flour in the cake while persistence is the main ingredient. Its the emails sent, the pitch you give 44451742682 times about your business, consistently writing even though you don't have many readers yet, or whatever series of consistent action fits with your story.
This reminds me of the Carolina Panthers mantra #keeppounding and gave me an excuse to visit Bank of American Stadium for a few shots. Above I'm wearing a turtleneck blazer which is comfy and serves as a go-to when I don't feel like being "buttoned up". I've been to networking events and semi-formal banquets wearing a turtleneck sweater and looked just as 'dressed up' as the next guy.
Black and blue has been a combination I've been tackling A LOT lately. I see a lot of all black looks in fashion, but when you can pair a shade of navy that actually contrasts with black then you have a winning look. Using different fabrics in your blacks and blues is also a great way to pull this off.
Tell me in the comments: what's something that you're working towards right now? What struggles are you dealing with in staying consistent?
