If you're a fan of GQ Magazine, you've seen how much they rave about the shiny suit over and over again. GQ has a subtle way of making you feel like if you don't have whatever piece of clothing an article is about (polos, henleys, linen suits), then you can't sit at the table. Not in a manipulative way though; did you feel manipulated when you used to dress like your boys to fit in?
I gave into this temptation by making an impulse, yet extremely smart buying decision in purchasing this skinny fit blue suit from H&M (in a later post, I'll talk about why you shouldn't be afraid of skinny fits and if your body is right for them).
The shiny suit is a great way to say "I'm ready to have a good time and sign the dotted line", it can be dressed to impress someone you fancy or your clients. This suit screams "GQ" and if you get this suit tailored well, you won't be sorry (or feel like I 6 ft disco ball).
I decided to play with my favorite color (red) with my accessories. When in doubt or a short supply of time, choosing accessories in different shades of the same color is always safe. I don't do this too often, but its a good start for a beginner (especially with flower lapels).
Polka dots are my favorite prints that can be used as a good conversation starter or a tool to simply put you in a better mood. This is also the first post featuring my new jewelry from H&M that I got last week. Pretty 'summery', right?
