Something tells me we're all trying to figure out how to get dressed this winter without looking like we're wearing the same thing every week. If you're like me, with more room in your imagination than you have in your closet, its can be difficult to get dressed with so few options. You'll see me layering flannel a lot in the next couple of weeks, along with our trusty chelsea boots.
A flannel shirt can be as thick or thin as you want it to be, but since it was 60 and sunny today I went with one of my thinner options from H&M. Since plaid is a pattern that speaks for itself, I kept things as simple as possible with a white tee and a streamline of black to finish off the look. Red, black and white is a combination that looks good on any skin color, so give it a shot!
Ways to layer a flannel:
Under a denim jacket
Over a t shirt and under a long coat
Under a black leather jacket
Under your favorite vest, with another jacket over the vest (if its cold enough)
By itself (on a VERY warm day) over a plain tee
