"Persistence is to character what carbon is to steel". Following through with someting you start is one of the best decisions you'll ever make. What do you dream of doing in life? Start now because even if it takes you years to get where you want to be, guess what? The time will pass anyway. You'll still be a few years older, but the difference in your bank account, quality of relationships, and progress will depend on how persistent you were in pursuing something that was worthwhile.
Persistence is key. Don't let the outside world/circumstances sway your faith.
There's a "law" in business, success and called the law of sowing and reaping that says there's a time to sow and there's a time to reap. There's a time for your relationships/personal life to be a 10 out of 10, and there's a time for you to feel all alone. There are times for the money to roll in from lord knows where, and times where you'll wonder how you're going to eat your next meal. There are times for you to dig your feet in the dirt and work on your craft without anyone watching, and there are times for the world to notice you.
This is as basic as the law of gravity. What goes up, most come down. What you put into something, you must get out of it. There's a time for pleasure and a time for struggle. The key is weathering the storm.
You may look stupid or crazy to those around you, but the best way out of the storm is through it. Think about some of the most basic but revolutionary things to be invented: the telephone, the television and so on. The creatives who manifested those things will looked crazier than anyone starting anything in 2016. They didn't have the resources, you do. They didn't live in the age of the possible, you do.
Geniuses only look crazy to people who simply don't think big. Here are four keys to help you weather any storm in pursuing a dream or just in life, period.
1) Have a "why" - it'll make any challenge too small to acknowledge in comparision to your major goal.
2) Have a plan to get out and follow through with it...in other words 'keep it moving'
3) Keep the negative chatter of the world out of your psyche, including those from family, friends and acquaintances. Yes they want what's best for you, but your faith and intuition know what's right for you when pursuing something worthwhile.
4) Find at least one positive person who supports your dream or goal for support. Not to hide you from what you need to hear, but one who sees your vision when no one else does.
