It's finally the one time of year when its hardest to get out of bed, yet its easier than ever to get dressed without looking like you just rolled out of bed. It was in the heart of fall when I first started developing my wardrobe and sense of my own style. Desert boots, denim, and sweaters were among my favorite pieces that I first bought with my own dime.
Since then, I've been getting more into the layering game that everyone's crazy about in menswear - and with good reason. I thought this was a good time to go back to the simple sweater-pants-smart shoes combination that I started my wardrobe with. In this post with banana republic, I wanted to share with you guys a smarter way to dress this fall without layering so much that you're playing dress up and strip down when you step in and out of a building this fall.
If you picked up the latest edition of GQ Style, you know that patterned sweaters are in season which is why I picked up this chunky houndstooth that speaks for itself. The window pane plaid suit pants were a good way to 1) dress up looks like this 2) expand my tailoring wardrobe, while at the same time adding pants that can be dressed down.
The pants fit so well that it allows room for them to be used for more than looks with a blazer, and give you a chance to play with pattern. They're a wool-blend and come in a slim fit that I recommend for anyone looking for a close fitting pair of suit pants.
This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Banana Republic and this outfit was gifted to me by the brand.
